Instant Pot BBQ Pork Ribs

Ingredients

Pork and Spice Mix

  • 3 - 4 lbs of pork ribs
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 2 tsp dry mustard
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp white pepper

Instant Pot

  • Half white onion chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic crushed
  • ¼ cup water
  • ¼ cup your favorite BBQ sauce
  • ¼ cup your favorite sweet chili sauce
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar

Sauce

  • ¾ cup your favorite BBQ sauce
  • ¼ cup your favorite sweet chili sauce
  • ¼ cup of honey

Instructions

  1. Rub the ribs really nice with the spice mix.
  2. Place the ribs into the instant pot with all instant pot ingredients spread around evenly.
  3. Close up the instant pot nice and tight, make sure that steam valve is closed! Select the Meat/Stew option and set the timer for 20 minutes.
  4. While waiting for the ribs to be done, mix together all the ingredients for the sauce.
  5. When the instant pot is complete, wait 10 minutes for the natural release. After natural release, open instant pot valve carefully to release remaining pressure.
  6. Place a large pan on the stove, turn it to medium-high heat, and coat with olive oil.
  7. Once the pan makes water sizzle, transfer ribs into the pan, and immediately turn the heat down to low. Coat the pork with half the sauce.
  8. After 5 minutes in the pan, flip the pork and coat the other side with the rest of the sauce. Cook for another 5 minutes, then remove from the pan.
  9. Enjoy!
