Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Slice plantains into 3/4-inch rounds. On a large tray, lay out all the plantains. Season generously with salt.

Bake for 10 minutes.

Remove from the oven, and turn up the heat to 425 degrees F. While plantains are still warm, smash them.

Place the smashed plantains back onto the baking tray, season with salt again (to taste), and bake for 10 minutes. Flip, and bake for another 8-10 minutes until crispy.

Optional: To make the simple guac, mash together all ingredients in a medium-size bowl until desired guacamole consistency.
