Breakfast is really important to Chef K and I. That’s why you will see a lot of breakfast recipes and smoothies because they are a great way to start your day off right. During the weekdays, we like to do a lot of easy to grab breakfast items like muffins, but on the weekends we spoil ourselves with eggs, bacon, sausage and pancakes!
This week we took the classic buttermilk pancake and made them with a Cringey Kitchen twist. If you’ve made our recipes before you will know we love to make our own “buttermilk” using non dairy milk and apple cider vinegar. This trick is one of the coolest tricks that I have learned during my Cringey journey with Chef K.
We’ve noticed that a lot of gluten free, dairy free pancakes are very dry and/or crumbly, but we wanted to put a stop to that. These pancakes use the gluten free all purpose flour in order to get the best consistency. You can make your own blend, but we like using Bob’s Red Mill.
